What Are Signs That You Need To Lose Weight?

Have you ever felt that you should lose weight? The truth is, not everyone that thinks he needs to lose weight actually should. For some, losing weight is an obsession, whereas other really do need to. What category do you belong?

Are you obesed? If you are, then you belong to the category of those who should really lose weight. There is a difference between being obese and being overweight. Generally, if you are thirty or forty pounds overweight, you can be said to be obese. If you find yourself in this shoe, then you really need to lose weight. Sadly, the major concern expressed by most obese people relates to their appearance. But as far as obesity is concerned, ones health is far more important that appearance. The reason is that obesity could lead to death, the result of several health-related problems, one of which is heart disease.

Have your clothes become really tight and no longer fit? If you answer yes, then you may have need to lose weight. While it is normal to gain weight or experience slight fluctuation in weight at some certain periods, a rapid weight gain is not something you should overlook. With many people, weight gain come in big leap. When small weight gains become large ones, do not hesitate in joining a weight loss center or being your own weight loss program. This would be anything from a daily or weekly exercise routine. You would benefit in four different ways. One, having an exercise program will help you lose weight; two, your appearance and general self esteem will improve drastically; three, this will contribute to your overall health and wellbeing; and four, you will be spared the extra burden of having to buy new clothes.

In addition to your clothes no longer fitting, if you have been told that you need to lose weight, then you really may have to do so. Consider who complains about your weight. Is the person really concerned about you overall well-being? Is he being reasonable? Is the recommendation from your doctor? If so, take their recommendation into consideration. Do not become embarrassed when you are told that you need to lose weight. Keep in mind that when someone close to you makes such a recommendation, it is usually borne out of interest. So don’t turn a deaf ear to their recommendation because they are concerned, not only about you appearance but also about your health.

A fourth sign that you may need to lose weight is when you notice that tasks that you normally carry out with ease now cause so much tension. There is a chance that you now easily go out of breath from performing simple task because you have a weight problem. Just lose weight a little, and you would likely see a drastic change in your stamina.

This list of signs that shows you need to lose weight is definitely not exhaustive but a good beginning. Bear in mind that caution should be applied when you are thinking of starting an exercise routine. Before proceeding, it is wise that you consult your doctor so that you can make the best out of your weight loss program.
